"Conjugation" at Smokelong Weekly
My story "Conjugation" is this week's Smokelong Weekly story. You can access it here.
In unrelated musings, I read David Mamet's Glengarry Glen Ross during a car ride to Virginia this weekend and was really impressed by his use of dialogue to create tension, to delineate character, to inform motivation. I always teach in my classes how important it is to walk the fine line between expository and throw-away dialogue, and I think anyone wanting to hone his or her skills at writing dialogue couldn't pick a better place to begin than reading Mamet's plays.
