Your Chances for Greatness Have Increased

Thanks to Charm City Current's Baltimore Books blogger Celeste Sollod for the shout out to Baltimore's newest journal, Cobalt (which is open for submissions, hint, hint) and also my story, "Sweet Rotten," which appeared in the inaugural issue.

It's that time of year again—and no, I don't mean Halloween (although I'm looking forward to it just as much as you and the candy industry are). I mean National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWrMo), which begins this year on November 1, 2011 and ends on November 30th, 2011. By writing every day, the goal of the NaNoWrMo participant is to write a 50,000-word, (approximately 175-page) novel by 11:59:59, November 30. Easy, huh? Well, no harder than going to the gym every day. But your creative juices, just like your abs, could benefit from daily exercise. Haven't had a chance to expand those thirty disorganized pages of a novel? Well, here's your chance. Thank me later; Halloween candy accepted.
