so many things have my heart

Holy Rosary Church, South Chester St., Baltimore
So many things have my heart today. If you did not exist, I could not love. We could not love, and then what is the point of being human? My partner, my friends, my family, my professional colleagues, my pets, my Baltimore. My Baltimore—Patterson Park in the spring, the undulating diamonds on the inner harbor in the winter, the jogging route along the water from Butcher's Hill to Locust Point, the panoramic view of the city from the Patterson Park Pagoda, the stately circle of the Washington Monument in Mt. Vernon, the sedate yet ornate halls of the Walters Art Museum, the quiet storms that percolate at the Baltimore Museum of Art. The funky fun at the Creative Alliance. The BSO. The hot tea and Sour Patch kids and Revival Series/Cinema Sunday/Met Opera at the Charles, and so much sushi! Sushi everywhere, and spicy Korean on 21st. Pierogies at Holy Rosary's Polish Festival. The lovely flowers and plant life at the Conservatory, including my favorite orchid, Lucy.

So many things have my heart. Happy Valentine's Day!
