Local Author Bookfair at the Dove Library Writeup

I had a great time at the Dove Library Book Fair this weekend at the Carlsbad Library. You never know who's going to come to your table or who's going to spend their hard-earned money on your book, but I'm always grateful when people take a chance on my work. It's also super exciting when someone tells you they already are familiar with your work and came to buy a book! (That never gets old.) I sold out of The Tide King and almost sold out of You'll Be Fine.

I'm always so impressed with other author's swag, too, which reminds me I need to step up my game with All This Can Be True comes out with Turner/Key Light next June! Self-published authors, in particular, are reinventing the marketing game, and they are truly innovative and fun, much more so (in my experience) than those of us who publish traditionally. I know I will be learning a lot from them in the months preceding publication of my next novel. See you next year, Dove! (Hopefully!)
